One of the most influential figures on the Polish and European bass scene joins the lineup of the 3rd edition of the Cavatina Guitar Festival. Wojciech Pilichowski—an artist who has been shaping the direction of jazz and funk for over 35 years—will present his latest project, SLAP JAZZ, in Bielsko-Biała.

This is an energetic, modern incarnation of Pilichowski’s original work, built on a pulsating groove, expansive improvisations, and his unmistakable, uncompromising slap bass sound. SLAP JAZZ is music created for the stage—dynamic, vibrant, and open—where jazz freedom meets funk precision, and virtuosity serves above all emotion and direct communication with the audience.

The project combines the experience of one of Europe’s most recognizable bassists with the energy of outstanding musicians from the younger generation. On stage, Pilichowski is joined by:

Together, they form a band in which technical excellence goes hand in hand with natural energy, improvisational freedom, and an intense musical dialogue.
